Petrochemical
Intamet is renowned for supply experience in Petrochemical fields offering thorough detailed compliance to the most exacting requirements, conversant with PED 97/23 and documentation control systems accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2008. Comprehensive package management and supply from pipe, fittings and flanges, through contract specific marking / colour coding, end capping and end bevelling services if required. Seamless pipes are typically supplied in single random lengths between 5 and 7.5 Metres, with Welded pipes being generally 6 Metres. It is also possible to supply pipes in double random lengths on mill production to minimise jointing. Intamet can supply Seamless pipes up to 36" NB (914mms).
Other services available include full in-house cutting, PMI (Positive Material Identification), Third Party Inspection and packaging, to domestic customer driven and international compliant standards.
Construction
Stainless Steel Hollow Sections up to 400mm. are now available from Intamet stock. In addition to the stock range of hot rolled and drawn profiles namely; Beam, Channel, Tee Section and Unequal Angles, the development in high strength laser fusing technology, enables limitless special section profile production possibilities with low minimum production runs, offering bespoke product solutions. Added value sub-contract services include rolling and semi fabrication.
Architectural
Stainless Steel use in architecture has significantly increased over the past few years, where the texture and flexibility has been recognised as a desirable design feature. Listed by RIBA, and members of the BSSA, Intamet stock and supply probably the widest range of stainless steel Tubes, Bars, Hollow Section, Tee, Beam, Channel and fixings available in a number of polished finishes. Additionally, Intamet supply intricate Laser, Water-Jet and now High Definition plasma cut stainless steel sheet and plates to order on short lead times, from customer sketch or electronic media. These products can again be polished to customer requirements.
Marine
From general boat building through luxury yacht and cruiser manufacture, Intamet supply high quality mirror polished stainless tubes and fittings, thin wall exhaust tubes through heavy wall tube from stock for numerous applications.
Conversely, on a commercial basis, major shipyards and fabricators worldwide rely on Intamet's wide range of material availability to internationally varying product specifications and alloys. This experience and knowledge is invaluable where maintenance and time is a key factor.
Nuclear
With the global re-emergence and focus on sustainable energy, Intamet is well placed to support this market. Key staff at The Company hold first hand experience of UK nuclear supply during the 1980s with primarily British Nuclear Fuels. Nuclear energy supply is an area likely to feature highly within The Company forward portfolio. Limited nominated approved manufacture, product finish, superior stockholding practices and product protection being key elements that Intamet can provide. Furthermore, with technical developments over the past two decades, our mill partners are now in a position to produce more intricate profiles and structural sections than ever before in a variety of composition tailored alloys including high strength "Lean Duplex".
